Being on the verge of actually spending money on materials to start building one, before I do I was wondering if there's much difference between the GyroBee and the Hornet (which, I understand, basically is a mod of the GyroBee).
Any suggestions for me? Thanks very much, Ed Newbold, Columbus, OH |

The big difference is there are lots of Gyrobee's flying! I don't know of any Hornet's flying yet.

I won't ask the dumb question about which gyro is the best on the market today, 'case that's too subjective. However, I will ask which ones are the most popular. My preference is something I can build from plans, but I won't rule out a kit. Cheers, Ed Last edited by enewbold; 06-20-2005 at 03:51 AM. |

If you REALLY want to build from plans, take a look at the following:
1. Dominator performance edition or Ultrawhite 2. Gyrobee 3. 3DRV Try contacting Monte Hoskins montedebbie@aol.com This ad is old so I don't know if his email address is still a good one or not. the Guro bee and Hornet are very close , they come from the same stock !
i believe the reason there are so few of hornets out is the fact that they havn't been out near as long as the Gyro bee , and not that many people know about the hornet... the looks of the hornet are no doubt great but I think it boils down to prefrence .... build the one ya like ! <grin> Bob. |

As the title indicates, I'm getting "connection refused" at taggart.glg.msu.edu/gyro/gbee.htm
I presume the server is overloaded or has seen too much traffic this month, or something similar. That being the case, does anyone have a current set of downloadable Gyro Bee plans available? If bandwidth help is needed, I can host the plans on my website too for a while: http://enewbold.com. Thanks, Ed Newbold |

I have had better luck accessing a copy of the Gyrobee documentation on the Lone Star Gyro site at http://users2.ev1.net/~gyroman/.
